What types of attacks am I protected from?
The Blue Eagle protects your network from SPAM, viruses, Trojans, spyware, intrusion from outside attacks and browser hijacking. In addition, we also prevent users from viewing inappropriate web sites (porn, gambling, etc.) and record various groups of web sites they are allowed to view, but ones which you might want to track.
I'm not a computer engineer,
how easy is this to configure?
Extremely easy. You provide the information we request on our web form, we configure it for you and ship the unit to you. You plug it in and turn it on. That’s it!
What do I do if I need to "whitelist"
a web site?
Send us an email with the requested web site. We scan the web site to verify it’s secure, we connect to your system, add the web site and send back a reply email notifying you of the outcome.
I hired a new employee, what do I do to add them?
Send us their email address and the IP address of their system, we add them and send a confirming email to you notifying you.
How can I tell how much SPAM is being blocked?
Open a browser and in the address bar type in: webreporter
This will open the main page for the internal WebReporting Tool. From this main screen you can view various statistics regarding what’s been blocked, who’s been viewing what web sites and a whole lot of other information.
Where do I go
to see who's been visiting what web sites?
See above.
Which of my employees are infected with Trojans?
If any of your systems are infected with Trojans that are either sending SPAM or attempting to communicate with someone on the outside, the user at that system will see a web page warning them of the infection if they open their browser. The web page they see will instruct them to contact us to walk through an attempt to clean the infection. Our technical support staff will also see the warning in our notification system and we will contact you.
One of my employees
is getting a web page that says they're
infected. What do we do now?
Follow the instructions on the web page and contact us. More than likely we’ll see the notification before you and we’ll be calling you to initiate an attempt to clean your infected system.
Our Box unit
doesn't turn on. What do we do?
Call our Customer Service phone number (888)251-5803.
We’ll reconfigure a new unit with
your recent settings and ship it to you
overnight. In the mean time, your emails
will be sent to our backup server. When
your new unit is in place, we can forward
all accumulated emails to your server. You
can also have remote access to your emails
while you await your new unit.
What can I do to protect my systems at home?
We are working on a scaled down home version
of the Blue Eagle. This should be available
in the Spring of 2008.
