When new threats are identified, which is rather often, updates are then delivered to each Box appliance to provide timely and accurate protection. These updates include new spam rules, virus definitions, spyware definitions, methods of infection and new malicious web sites waiting to infect you by simply viewing them.

In addition to monitoring the Internet for new threats, our threat specialists monitor each of our customers’ networks. Monthly security assessments are performed and detailed reports are e-mailed to the customer and their local e-Based Security Partner highlighting the performance of the system and identifying areas of concern.

Our network of customers also provide a degree of protection. If we detect a new attack on one of our clients networks, we update their rules to provide protection. We then "push" out an update to all of our clients before they even see the attack! These emergency updates are in addition to our regularly scheduled updates.
